Introduction

SPIEGELBERG WINERY - VINUM SOMLAICUM

Steven Spiegelberg of Hungairan-German origin has been working on the Somló Mountains since 1993. His almost 2 ha land is found on the Ilona vineyard between St.Ilona chapel and Séd brooklet, on the wishes to process concentrated wines of high value. He bottles wines matured in wooden casks and from his own-grown varieties: Olaszrizling (Italian or Welschriesling), Juhfark("Sheeps'tail") and Furmint. The newly-planted, five years old Juhfark in 2004 - this marks the vintage. Furmint will turn to hear next year.
