We have aligned the grape varieties into three categories: the first group are indigenous Hungarian grape varieties. The second are grapes of different origin, however during the course of the centuries they got acclimatized and can be regarded as Hungarian varieties. The third consist of the hybrid varieties sublimated by Hungarian grape growers. The list is compiled according to Hajdu Edit.s book on Hungarian grape varieties.
